What other concerns can I access an online counsellor for?

Online counselling effectively addresses anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome. I also support clients with relationship challenges, career transitions, burnout, sleep difficulties, and stress management.

Online sessions can also be used for personal growth, exploring identity, purpose, and meaning-making - all from the comfort and privacy of a familiar environment.

Hi, I’m Gretta! Experienced online, trauma-informed counsellor

Through my experience of providing online counselling, I have witnessed how this format can enhance therapeutic outcomes for some clients.

Experience has shown me how to adapt in-person techniques for use on-line, enabling a similar level of connection and effectiveness as in-person work. Video sessions provide opportunities for clients who might not otherwise have access to counselling. I have seen firsthand how removing these barriers can be life-changing.

My unique approach

  • Anxiety and depression

Clients accessing for anxiety and depression, often say they find being in their familiar environment helps them open up about their struggles while developing coping strategies they can immediately practice in their daily setting.

  • Burnout and sleep

These interconnected issues often stem from chronic stress, overwork, and disrupted life balance and can be effectively addressed on-line within your own environment. Sessions can be used to explore underlying concerns and exploring practical strategies.

  • Privacy concerns

Online counselling provides a good option to access support when it is important that your privacy is upheld. Additionally, there are specific circumstances that make online therapy more comfortable when discussing certain matters.

Some questions you may have about online counselling for trauma, depression, anxiety and grief

  • Yes, online counselling is effective. Research consistently shows it can be as effective as face-to-face therapy for many mental health conditions.

  • Online counselling sessions are not recorded by default. Recording policies may vary by platform and therapist - always ask your provider about their specific recording practices and consent requirements beforehand. I do not record on-line sessions I provide.

  • ZOOM for business is HIPAA compliant and a secure platform for therapy when strong security settings are used (like passwords and waiting rooms) and  end-to-end encryption is active.
